Awards and Recognition
Ralph Award
The "Ralph" award consists of a monetary gift
card and the "Ralph" award pin! In order to receive a Ralph Award
at Celebration, participants must have perfect attendance for that
session.
Robert Morris Empowerment Award
The Board of Twin Cities RISE! established the Robert Morris Empowerment Award when Mr. Morris retired from the program. This monetary award of $1500 is made once each year at the October Celebration; it recognizes a Twin Cities RISE! final placement participant.
Eligible recipients are:
- Twin Cities RISE! final placements
- Have at least 90 days of employment in the final placement position
- In good standing with the TCR! program and with his/her employer
Applicants must:
- Submit a letter discussing how they are using personal empowerment
- Have two letters of support
- Provide an explanation of what they would do with the $1,500 cash award
TCR! Graduates
Once a participant has completed one year in
their final placement job, they are recognized as TCR! graduates.
These graduates are acknowledged at every Celebration.
Bonus Bucks
You know first hand how TCR! has impacted your life, share your story with others and earn some extra cash! Refer someone to the TCR! Program.
To qualify for the bonus bucks:
- You must be an active TCR! participant
- Your referral must write your name down on their application
- Your referral must attend orientation and a week of classes

The referral Pay Scale is as follows:
- Refer an individual and receive $25.00
- Refer two individuals and receive $50.00
- Refer three individuals and receive $100.00
Additional TCR! Services
Job Opportunities
Employer Services assists participants as they
begin to pursue a fulltime career position by providing job leads
to those who are approaching final placement status. Job leads are
sourced and posted weekly to the participant directory, under employment
resources. For more information and questions, please contact your
WorkSkills Coach.
Job Club is a service that assists individuals in finding job openings, filling out applications, and selling your strengths to potential employers. For more information about Job Club, contact your WorkSkills Coach.
Internship Program
Internships are offered every session for participants
to obtain current work experience, practice new skills and enhance
their resume. A commitment of ten (10) hours per week for a period
of eight (8) weeks as well as attending weekly Internship classes
are required for an internship position. For more information and

Tutor Assistance
Tutors help TCR! Participants prepare for, understand and pass their classes so they will be better prepared to attain a satisfying job they will enjoy. Tutors meet with participants one-on-one or in a small group. Participants having trouble in any of their classes are encouraged to request a tutor by completing a tutor request form with their WorkSkills Coach.
