Volunteer
with Twin Cities R!SE
Share your experience. Support R!SERs preparing for meaningful employment.
Volunteers play an important role in helping R!SERs build confidence, practice professional skills, and prepare for meaningful employment.
Whether you are helping with mock interviews, sharing career insight, supporting a class, mentoring an employed R!SER, or volunteering with your team, your time can make a real difference.
VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
-
Mock Interview Volunteer
Help R!SERs prepare for real interviews by practicing common interview questions, offering feedback, and helping them build confidence before meeting with employers.
This is one of our highest-need volunteer opportunities and can be done individually or as a group.
-
In-Class Assistant Volunteer
Support R!SERs during virtual or in-person classes by helping with technology, class activities, and skill-building support.
Opportunities may vary based on current program needs.
-
Career Spotlight Volunteer
Represent your company or industry by sharing career insight, workplace expectations, open roles, internships, apprenticeships, and hiring information with R!SERs preparing for employment.
This is a great opportunity for professionals who want to help R!SERs better understand career options and what employers are looking for.
-
Mentor Employed R!SERs
Share your professional experience with R!SERs who have completed TCR programming and are continuing to grow in their careers.
Mentors can help with goal-setting, workplace challenges, career navigation, encouragement, and long-term career growth.
-
Event Volunteer
Support TCR events by helping with setup, welcoming guests, activities, registration, cleanup, and other event-day needs.
Opportunities may include our Community Carnival, R!SE to the Occasion Gala, Gift of Community, community tabling events, and other special gatherings throughout the year.
Why Volunteering Matters
For many R!SERs, preparing for employment means more than updating a résumé or practicing interview questions. It means learning how to talk about their strengths, rebuild confidence, ask for support, and believe they have something valuable to offer.
Volunteers help make that possible.
A mock interview can help a R!SER walk into a real interview with more confidence. A career conversation can help someone see a new path forward. A few words of encouragement can remind someone that they are capable, prepared, and ready to keep going.
When you volunteer with Twin Cities R!SE, you help R!SERs practice the skills, confidence, and professional habits that support long-term success.
